Tipra Motha: Declares One-Day Strike, Demands Constitutional Solution under Article 2/3 for Greater Tipraland

Tipra Motha, the regional party of Tripura, has called for a one-day strike to press Central Government of India for a constitutional solution under Article 2/3 for Greater Tipraland. The leader of Tipra Motha, Maharaj Pradyot Bikram Kishore Manikya Debbarma, expressed optimism about the response from the Home Minister of India.

The strike was announced during a meeting held at TTAADC Khumulwng Naruai Hall on Friday, where Tipra Motha gathered all elected representatives, including Executive Members (EM), Members of District Council (MDC), and Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA). Maharaj urged Tripura Tiprasa people to actively join the movement, and he welcomed the participation of members from other political parties representing the Tiprasa community.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including TTAADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia, Animesh Debbarma, Rabindra Debbarma, Ganesh Debbarma, Brishaketu Debbarma, Kama Kalai, and others. The collective effort of Tipra Motha and the participation of various leaders indicate a strong push for a constitutional resolution to address the demands of Greater Tipraland.

It remains to be seen how the strike and the movement unfold, but Tipra Motha's actions have certainly garnered attention and could potentially lead to progress on the issue.
