Both Kabaddi teams marched into their respective finals, while India's women's hockey side reached the semifinals and three squash medals were assured. Rishabh Das also lowered his own national record in the 200m backstroke. The major disappointment came in badminton, where Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty suffered a shock early exit.
