Austin Reaves, a key player for the Los Angeles Lakers, is set to miss the remainder of the regular season with a Grade 2 left oblique muscle injury. The 27-year-old averaged 23.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 51 games this season.
ESPN's NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Reaves is expected to miss four to six weeks, which would likely rule him out for the playoffs as well. This comes after the Lakers already lost star guard Luka Doncic to a left hamstring strain.
Doncic, who leads the NBA in scoring with 33.5 points per game, will also miss the remainder of the regular season. The Lakers have clinched a playoff berth but are just one game ahead of the fourth-placed Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference.
