India's Ayush Shetty continued his impressive form by ousting China's Li Shi Feng in the first round of the Badminton Asia Championships in Ningbo, China.

Shetty, the world No.25, dominated the fifth-seeded home favourite 21-13, 21-16 in 51 minutes, using his height to his advantage with steep smashes and net control.

The 20-year-old's proactive game in the front court proved too much for Li, who struggled to read and react to Shetty's powerful attacks.

Shetty's coach, U Vimal Kumar, praised his player's performance, saying he 'blew away' Li in straight games with 'fearless, attacking badminton.'

This victory comes after Shetty's recent training with PV Sindhu's coach Irwansyah Adi Pratama, which has clearly paid off.
