Reacting to Senegal's call for an international investigation, CAF president Patrice Motsepe has defended the African football confederation's integrity.
Senegal forfeited the AFCON title after many players walked off in second-half stoppage time, and CAF awarded it to Morocco.
Motsepe said, 'The CAF disciplinary board took one decision. The CAF appeals board took a totally different position.'
'We will adhere and respect the decision that's taken at the highest level,' he added.
The CAF chief defended the integrity of the confederation, saying, 'These are people who have integrity and have a track record.'
Motsepe also emphasized the importance of impartiality, independence, and respect in football matches.
