A five-member delegation from Commonwealth Sport has begun a four-day review visit to Gujarat to assess preparations for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
The team, led by President Donald Rukare and CEO Katie Sadleir, is inspecting venues in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, and Ekta Nagar.
The visit aims to review planning status, assess venue readiness, and align timelines for infrastructure and operations for the centenary edition of the Games.
The venues to be inspected include Narendra Modi Stadium, Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, EKA Arena, Vadodara Cricket Stadium, and the Statue of Unity complex.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has assured that the state will follow a time-bound plan for delivery of venues and infrastructure.
The 2030 Commonwealth Games will be India's second, after New Delhi 2010, and will feature participation from 74 Commonwealth nations.
