Indian Duo Wins Gold in ISSF Junior World Cup, Takes Medal Tally to 14

Cairo, India's Vanshika Chaudhary and Chirag Sharma have won the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the ISSF Junior World Cup, securing India's fifth gold medal in the tournament.

The duo shot a combined 484.3 to outperform their competitors, including Aliaksandra Piatrova and Mikita Daubash from the Individual Neutral Athletes, and took India's gold tally to five.

With one more day of competitions left, India continues to lead the medal table with five gold, five silver, and four bronze medals.

Vanshika and Chirag had earlier topped the 14-team qualifiers with a combined score of 582, while Mohini Singh and Himanshu Rana finished third with a score of 568.

This is Vanshika's second gold in the tournament, having earlier won the individual women's 10m air pistol title, and Chirag's second medal, having earlier won bronze in the junior men's air pistol.

The Trap men's and women's competitions also concluded on the day, with India having one finalist each. Zuhair Khan and Bhavya Tripathi claimed the sixth qualifying spot in their respective qualifiers, but failed to progress to the next round.
