India will be without Lakshya Sen during their Thomas Cup semifinal clash against France as he is recovering from a swollen right elbow.

The 24-year-old had saved two match points to script a victory over world No. 6 Chou Tien Chen in the quarterfinals against Chinese Taipei.

With Lakshya unavailable, Ayush Shetty will play the opening singles against world No. 4 Christo Popov, while Kidambi Srikanth will feature in the second singles against world No. 10 Alex Lanier.

HS Prannoy will then take on world No. 17 Toma Junior Popov, and the doubles matches will follow, with Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty facing the Popov brothers.

India are assured of a medal after reaching the semifinals and are confident of pulling off the match despite Lakshya's absence.
