Betts, the NCAA Most Outstanding Player, was present at the arena to receive an honorary by the Lakers after UCLA's historic 79-51 win in the NCAA Tournament final.
James, who was not involved in the Lakers game that night due to a left foot injury, was in the building and made eye contact with Betts, causing her to exclaim, 'LeBron made eye contact with me. LeBron James!'
Betts established herself throughout this season as one of the most intimidating interior players in college basketball, scoring 17.1 points and averaging 2.1 blocks per game.
She is projected to be in the first five of the 2026 WNBA Draft, with CBS Sports pegging her as the best rim protector in her class.
