Paris Saint-Germain's dominant 2-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final first leg has left the holders facing a daunting task to overturn the deficit at Anfield.
Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored the goals for PSG, who bossed the game from start to finish, with Doue's looping shot in the 11th minute and Kvaratskhelia's second goal 65 minutes in.
Liverpool, who lined up with three centre-backs, were run ragged and struggled to create chances, with their only attempt in the first half coming from Jeremie Frimpong when he was offside.
PSG had 70 percent possession in the first half and continued to dominate after the break, with Ousmane Dembele blazing over before Kvaratskhelia's second goal.
Liverpool's coach Arne Slot admitted that his team were in survival mode for large parts of the game and that they will have to repeat their comeback against Galatasaray in the last 16 to stand a chance in this tie.
The second leg will take place at Anfield next Tuesday, where PSG won 1-0 in the second leg of their last-16 tie last season before advancing on penalties.
