Rory McIlroy made history by winning the Masters back-to-back, matching Nick Faldo's six major titles and becoming the joint most successful European player in major history.
The 36-year-old Northern Irishman navigated a challenging back nine on Sunday, where several players were snapping at his heels, to secure his fourth Green Jacket.
McIlroy had lost a six-shot lead after 36 holes, but he played the famous Amen Corner perfectly, including a stunning 9-iron birdie on the 12th hole.
He now joins an elite group of players who have won back-to-back Green Jackets, alongside Jack Nicklaus, Faldo, and Tiger Woods.
McIlroy expressed his delight at getting the job done, saying he never doubted he'd get over the finish line.
He will head to India in October as the reigning Masters champion, looking to defend his title at the DP World India Championship.
