Fernando Mendoza, the Heisman winner tipped to be the No 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, is facing a major leak days before the big day. The 22-year-old Indiana Hoosiers star is expected to visit Las Vegas on Tuesday and might even do some training, but his GPA scores have been leaked on social media.

Mendoza's impressive 4.86 GPA has been revealed, with reports suggesting he took on a demanding workload that included 12 Advanced Placement courses in high school. He graduated with a weighted GPA beyond 5.4 in his senior year alone.

The quarterback, who graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree from the Haas School of Business, pursued an MBA at the Kelley School of Business while leading the football program at Indiana University. Mendoza's highly disciplined lifestyle is also on display, with reports suggesting he only uses LinkedIn and YouTube on his phone.

His standout 2025 season included a 72% completion rate, 3,232 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. Across his college career, Mendoza reportedly posted a 68.6% completion percentage, 8,247 passing yards, 71 passing touchdowns, 22 interceptions, 473 rushing yards, and 11 rushing touchdowns.

Meanwhile, veteran Kirk Cousins has joined the Las Vegas Raiders, where he is expected to team up with Mendoza. Speaking at the NFL's annual league meeting, Kubiak said he would prefer Mendoza to initially learn from a veteran quarterback, rather than stepping immediately into an NFL starting role.
