Ohio State's John Mobley Jr. and Bruce Thornton powered the Buckeyes to an 89-63 win over Grambling on Tuesday. Mobley led the team with 20 points, while Thornton contributed 18. The Buckeyes' starters all reached double figures, with Devin Royal adding 16 points and Amare Bynum scoring 12 points and grabbing nine rebounds. The Buckeyes took control of the game early, with a 10-0 run giving them a 14-5 lead. However, Grambling managed to stay close until Ohio State's 16-6 run in the final 4:23 of the first half gave the Buckeyes a 39-24 lead at halftime. Ohio State continued to pull away in the second half, with Mobley hitting back-to-back three-pointers to seal the win. Grambling's Antonio Munoz led the Tigers with 19 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Buckeyes' strong performance. The win improves Ohio State's record to 7-1 at home, while Grambling falls to 1-7 on the road. Ohio State will look to continue its momentum next week, hosting Rutgers in a Big Ten Conference matchup on January 2. Grambling will host Centenary on December 30.
