Former Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos has dismissed rumors of a heart attack, saying he's recovering well after undergoing a planned preventative medical procedure. The 52-year-old, a World Cup winner and three-time Champions League champion, confirmed on social media that he had a coronary angioplasty in Brazil. According to Hospital Vila Nova Star in Sao Paulo, Roberto Carlos was advised to undergo the minimally invasive procedure after a heart obstruction was detected on Monday. The surgery was successful, and the former Real Madrid star is stable, although he will remain under observation in an intensive care unit due to medical protocols. Roberto Carlos, a member of Brazil's 1998 World Cup finalist and 2002 World Cup-winning teams, is expected to return to full fitness soon and resume his professional and personal commitments. The hospital released a statement confirming the procedure and Roberto Carlos's current condition.
