At just 16, Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi is already making waves in the tennis world. After a breakthrough season in 2025, the junior world No.40 and WTA 643 is gearing up for the Australian Open juniors, her season opener. Maaya's mantra for the pro grind is simple: play more, grow stronger. In the last three months of 2025, Maaya played eight tournaments, including four juniors and four women's events, and rubbed shoulders with top pros at the World Tennis League. Despite a hectic schedule, she has found the experience invaluable. "I've been travelling a lot, so these two weeks at home are crucial for me to recover and train again for Australia," she said. Maaya's coaches at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca are pushing her to compete more and gain experience. The teen has taken the advice to heart, recognizing the importance of physical development and mental toughness. "When you're on the road for a long time, staying fit is not easy," she said. "These past few months have taught me a lot in that regard.
