Olympian Vinesh Phogat has revealed herself as one of six women who accused former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment.
Phogat, a politician and decorated wrestler, alleged inaction from the government and the sports ministry, claiming they had given a 'free hand' to Brij Bhushan.
She expressed concerns about a possible attempt to derail her comeback ahead of the 2026 Asian Games, warning of potential 'biased officiating' at the upcoming National Open Ranking Tournament in Gonda.
Phogat urged the media and the sporting community to be present to ensure transparency and warned the Indian government would be responsible if anything untoward were to happen to her or her team during the competition.
