WWE is set to lose several major names, including Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, JC Mateo, and Tonga Loa, in a dramatic shake-up following recent roster cuts.

The reported exit of The New Day marks the end of an iconic WWE faction that began in 2014 when Kingston, Woods, and Big E formed the group.

The trio's character shift transformed them into one of WWE's biggest success stories, capturing 13 WWE-branded tag team championships and recording seven SmackDown tag title reigns.

However, after Big E suffered a broken neck in 2022, Kingston and Woods continued competing together as a duo, with Kingston most recently appearing on WWE programming on April 17 and Woods currently recovering from a shoulder injury.

Outside of The New Day, both wrestlers enjoyed significant singles success, with Kingston capturing the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 and Woods winning the 2021 King of the Ring tournament.

The exits reportedly extend beyond The New Day, with Tonga Loa and JC Mateo no longer under WWE contract despite both recently appearing as part of The MFTs.

The departures come shortly after WWE reportedly released more than a dozen superstars from its roster, sparking widespread speculation about what comes next.
