According to reports, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner has instructed officers to use force against anyone involved in arson or attempts to cause harm with crude bombs. The city's security has been bolstered with Border Guard Bangladesh personnel deployed in key areas, including Gopalganj, Hasina's ancestral home and a stronghold for her party.
