Anand and India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar discussed the progress being made on the Canada-India joint road map, which aims to enhance cooperation in energy, trade, and people-to-people ties. They also touched on the ongoing law-enforcement dialogue between Canadian and Indian authorities. The two ministers have met thrice in the past 45 days, with their previous encounters taking place during the UN General Assembly and Anand's visit to India in October. The Canada-India joint road map was crafted during Anand's visit, outlining a plan to strengthen ties in key areas. Anand expressed gratitude for India's participation in G7 discussions, while Jaishankar acknowledged the progress being made in implementing the New Roadmap 2025. He also met with other G7 foreign ministers, including the UK's Yvette Cooper, to discuss deepening cooperation in key areas. Jaishankar extended condolences to Canada for the deadly blast in the Red Fort area of New Delhi and reaffirmed the positive momentum in relations between their countries.
