Toronto police announced the arrest of 24-year-old Nicholas Singh, who was listed among Canada's 25 most wanted criminals due to a breach of parole. Singh was serving a five-year, five-month, and 10-day sentence for robbery and firearm-related charges when he went on the run on May 31, 2024. Singh was arrested in Toronto on Friday night after police spotted him in a vehicle and allegedly found a firearm, extended magazine, and ammunition. He has been slapped with six firearm-related charges following his arrest. The Bolo Program, which aims to utilize communication technologies to support police services in locating Canada's most wanted fugitives, lists two other alleged Indian-origin criminals. Gurkirat Singh, 26, is wanted for an alleged sexual assault on a child, while Dharam Singh Dhaliwal is wanted in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Pawanpreet Kaur in December 2022. Dharam Singh Dhaliwal, 31, is considered armed and dangerous. His family members, Pritpal Dhaliwal and Amarjit Dhaliwal, were arrested in 2023 for accessory to murder after the fact. The Bolo listing emphasizes that anyone assisting Dhaliwal in evading arrest will face the same charges. Meanwhile, notorious gangster Goldy Brar, who was included in the list last year, still remains at large and is wanted in connection with the murder of entertainer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022.
