A haunting video of Nick Reiner and his father Rob has emerged, shedding new light on the family's tumultuous relationship before Rob's shocking murder. The acclaimed director was found dead, along with his wife Michele, at their Los Angeles home, with Nick later being held responsible for the homicide, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The disturbing video, from a 2015 promotion for Being Charlie, a semi-autobiographical film about addiction, shows Nick and Rob discussing his struggles with substance abuse. In the clip, Nick warns, 'I get crazy, you don't wanna set me off,' a remark that now seems eerily prophetic given the tragic events that unfolded. The Reiner family had openly discussed Nick's addiction struggles ahead of the film's release. The video resurfaced after a report of a heated argument between Nick and his parents at a holiday party hosted by Conan O'Brien, just hours before the murder. Additionally, sources claim Nick got into a confrontation with Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader at the party. The clip also features Rob taking a compassionate approach, suggesting that addiction can be a symptom of underlying pain. His words now take on a haunting tone, given the brutal manner in which he and his wife were found dead, with multiple stab wounds. The Los Angeles Police Department is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the Reiner family tragedy.
