Colombian singer Yeison Jiménez, 34, and his manager, Jefferson Osorio, were among six people killed in a plane crash near Paipa, Colombia, on Saturday. The Boeing aircraft, registered as N325FA, crashed shortly after takeoff in the Boyacá region, according to the Office of Air Traffic Accidents. The victims also included Juan Manuel, Oscar Marín, Weisman Mora, and Captain Fernando Torres. Mora, a photographer for Jiménez, had posted a chilling video of the plane taxiing on the runway just moments before the crash. Footage from the scene showed the aircraft engulfed in flames, with emergency responders rushing to put out the fire. Jiménez was a renowned artist known for his unique blend of traditional Mexican ranchera music and Colombian influences. He had sold out Bogotá's Movistar Arena three times in 2024 and became the first Colombian artist to achieve this feat. His sold-out concert at El Campín Stadium in 2025 was a testament to his immense popularity. The Technical Directorate for Accident Investigation is currently probing the incident. Jiménez, who was set to perform in Medellin that evening, is survived by his spouse and three children. His representative released a statement, describing Jiménez as 'a son, a brother, a friend, and a human being full of dreams and courage.'
