A deadly terror attack in the Israeli-occupied West Bank left one Israeli national dead and three others injured on Tuesday. The incident, which involved a car-ramming and stabbing, occurred at a busy junction near the cities of Bethlehem and Hebron. According to the Israeli military, soldiers shot and killed two attackers, but the details of the incident are still unclear. Explosive materials were found in the attackers' vehicle, which were being neutralized by bomb disposal teams. The Israeli ambulance service reported that a 30-year-old man died from a stab wound, while a woman was critically injured and a man and a boy sustained moderate injuries. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The incident comes amid a surge in violence in the West Bank, where Palestinians have been living under tighter military restrictions. International pressure is mounting on Israel to rein in settler violence, which has seen a significant increase in recent months. In a separate incident, Israeli settlers set fire to homes and vehicles in the Palestinian village of Jab'a, near Bethlehem, following an earlier attack on property and civilians in the village of Sa'ir. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar condemned the violence, saying it 'harm[s] the State of Israel, disgrace[s] Judaism, and cause[s] damage to the settlement project.' The UN has reported a significant increase in attacks on Palestinians by settlers, with at least 264 incidents recorded in October, the highest monthly number since 2006. The West Bank remains a central point of contention in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with aspirations for a future Palestinian state alongside Israel hanging in the balance.
