The Epic Games Store was also affected, with users reporting disruptions starting around 4:10 p.m. EDT. According to outage tracking website Downdetector, ARC Raiders led the pack with nearly 4,500 users reporting connection losses, followed by Fortnite with around 900 reports and Rocket League and the Epic Games Store with roughly 400 reports each.
While Epic Games officials have yet to confirm the outages, players took to social media to express their discontent. Some users reported experiencing issues with high availability of services, while others complained about servers going down repeatedly. The reported outage follows a similar disruption on Christmas Eve, which affected players across PC, PS5, and Xbox platforms.
In a similar incident, players of ARC Raiders and Fortnite encountered the ART00004 Network Timeout error, resulting in over 35,000 outage reports on DownDetector. As gamers continue to face issues, it remains to be seen how Epic Games will address these concerns and ensure a smoother gaming experience for its users.
