US President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, has taken aim at New York City's mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, accusing him of having a personal vendetta against the Indian population and the Jewish community. In an interview with Fox News, Eric Trump criticized Mamdani for his 'socialist' and 'communist' ideology, citing his plan to nationalize grocery stores, defund law enforcement, and arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom Mamdani has called a 'war criminal'. Mamdani, who will make history as the first Muslim, Indian-origin, and Africa-born mayor of New York City, has previously stated that he would honor an International Criminal Court warrant and arrest Netanyahu if the Israeli leader sets foot in the city. Eric Trump, who serves as executive vice-president of the Trump Organisation, suggested that Mamdani focus on more pressing issues such as safe streets, clean streets, and reasonable taxes, arguing that these are essential for the city's economic success. He warned that Mamdani's policies could harm the city's economy and lead to government intervention. Mamdani's inauguration is set to take place on January 1, making him the youngest mayor of NYC in over a century.
