Erika Kirk Fires Back at Candace Owens with Witty Remark over 'Egypt Plane' Conspiracy
Erika Kirk took the stage for AmFest 2025 and took a subtle dig at Candace Owens' ‘Egypt plane’ theory, which came in the wake of Charlie Kirk's killing.
Erika Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA, delivered a subtle yet scathing remark at Candace Owens during the AmFest 2025 summit. The jab came after Owens had suggested that Egypt was involved in the shooting of Charlie Kirk, Erika's husband and the founder of TPUSA. Owens had based her theory on a plane belonging to the Egyptian government, which she claimed was following Charlie and Erika. However, Owens' claims were later debunked as she provided no concrete evidence to support her allegations.
In a meeting with Owens after the shooting, Erika had repeatedly asked her to stop spreading conspiracy theories. Now, at AmFest, Erika took a stand, listing the countries represented at the summit and ending with a witty remark: 'Don't worry, guys, Egypt is not on the list.' She then added, 'Oh, how funny. I say Egypt and my IPAD turns on.' The comment was seen as a clear jab at Owens, who had been vocal about her 'Egypt plane' theory. Owens, however, chose to focus on criticizing Ben Shapiro, another speaker at the summit, rather than responding to Erika's remark.
