A dramatic and chilling incident unfolded on Florida's I-95 highway on December 8, when a small plane made an emergency landing on a moving car, resulting in a collision. The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 pm, when the pilot reported engine trouble. According to eyewitness Jim Coffey, he and his son Peter were driving on I-95 when they saw a Beechcraft 55 plane flying above them. The plane then descended onto a Toyota Camry in front of their vehicle. A video shared online captures the shocking moment when the plane landed on top of the car, before sliding forward and coming to a halt on the roadway. The collision crushed the sedan against the median, spreading debris across the southbound lanes. Emergency responders were quick to arrive, and the interstate was closed off. The two people aboard the plane, both 27 years old, miraculously sustained no injuries. However, the driver of the Camry, a 57-year-old woman, was transported to Viera Hospital with minor injuries. Eyewitness Peter Coffey described the incident, saying, "I thought it might maybe aim around and not hit the car, but bam, the wheel just smacked right dab on the back of the car.
