FSU Freshman Ethan Pritchard Returns to Campus After Near-Fatal Shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a heartwarming moment, Florida State freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard has returned to campus nearly three months after being shot in the back of the head. The incident occurred outside an apartment complex on August 31, following the team's season opener. Pritchard, a four-star recruit from Sanford, Florida, was dropping off an aunt and a child after a family party when he was attacked in what authorities described as a case of mistaken identity. Four individuals were arrested in September in connection with the shooting. The 19-year-old's road to recovery has been remarkable. After being released from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Pritchard transferred to Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, where he made significant progress. On Thursday, he rang a bell and received a standing ovation as he prepared to leave the facility. Pritchard visited with his teammates and coaches upon his return to Tallahassee on Friday, using an electric wheelchair. In an interview with WESH-TV, he recalled the events of that fateful night, stating, "I remember everything. I turned the corner and shots rang off. I put the car in reverse and just backed up, and after that, I don't remember what else happened.
