The ICE has made its next big plan after raiding several big cities, including Los Angeles, and helping build a detention facility - Alligator Alcatraz.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is reportedly planning a massive operation in Arizona, particularly in Phoenix, a city that voted for Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election but swung to Republican candidate Donald Trump in 2020. According to sources, the agency is 'flush with cash' following a recent funding bill and plans to construct seven large-scale detention facilities, including one in Glendale. The operation, which has not been confirmed by the White House, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or ICE, is expected to target Arizona's undocumented immigrant population. The move comes months after the Trump administration faced criticism for its detention facility in Florida, dubbed 'Alligator Alcatraz,' which was deemed a failure by former Biden administration official Andrea Flores. "The idea of putting 5,000 more beds in Phoenix is a recipe for disaster," said Rep. Adelita Grijalva, who represents a district in Southern Arizona. "We've been anticipating this move, and we're ready to resist it. We will not provide any resources to help ICE with their detention plans.
