In the wake of the deadly shooting at a Hanukkah event on Sydney's Bondi Beach, Israel's National Security Council has issued a safety advisory for its citizens traveling abroad. The advisory cautions against attending large gatherings without adequate security, particularly at synagogues, Chabad houses, and other Jewish sites. It also urges Israelis to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities. This move comes as Australia grapples with the aftermath of the Bondi Beach shooting, which left 16 people dead and 40 injured. The two gunmen, identified as Sajid Akram and his 24-year-old son Naveed Akram, were known to police but not considered an immediate threat. In a scathing rebuke, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized Australia's handling of the situation, accusing the government of failing to address rising antisemitism in the country. 'You took no action, and the result is the horrific attacks on Jews we saw today,' he said. The shooters, who were armed with a bolt-action rifle and a shotgun, were found to have been in possession of two flags bearing the logo of the Islamic State militant group. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the motives behind the attack.
