External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with US Senator Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the G7 foreign ministers' meeting in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. The meeting marked a significant engagement between the two nations, focusing on bolstering bilateral ties, trade, and supply chains. During his visit, Jaishankar held meetings with several other foreign ministers, including Canada's Anita Anand, the UK's Yvette Cooper, France's Jean-Noel Barrot, and Germany's Johann Wadephul. The Indian Minister also met with Brazil's Mauro Vieira and Mexico's Dr. Juan Ramon de la Fuente. Anand described India as an 'important partner for Canada', reflecting the growing momentum in the bilateral relationship. Jaishankar acknowledged the positive momentum in India-UK relations and reaffirmed the 'Vision 2035' for further cooperation. The Indian Minister also interacted with the premier of Saskatchewan, Scott Moe, and exchanged views on various global issues. Jaishankar expressed gratitude for Rubio's condolences on the Delhi blasts and appreciated the US Senator's engagement on key global issues.
