Jeffrey Garcia, the voice behind Sheen Estevez in Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, has passed away at 48, his family has confirmed. Garcia's health had been a concern for months, with a series of hospitalizations due to various illnesses. According to reports, Garcia's condition had improved after a recent hospitalization, but his health took a sudden turn for the worse on Monday, December 8. He was rushed to a hospital in southern California with breathing issues, which were likely a complication of pneumonia he had contracted last month. Unfortunately, his lung collapsed, and he was put on life support. Despite efforts to save him, his family made the difficult decision to take him off life support. Garcia's health issues began in the spring of 2025, when he suffered a brain aneurysm that led to a fall and head injury. He made a partial recovery but never fully regained his health. He suffered a stroke later, which forced him to cancel several stand-up appearances. The comedian's condition continued to deteriorate, with a hospitalization for pneumonia on November 20. Despite a brief recovery, his health issues persisted until his final days. Born on May 3, 1977, in La Puente, California, Garcia had a successful career in animation and comedy, lending his voice to numerous shows and films while performing stand-up nationwide. His legacy will be remembered through his body of work.
