Laura Loomer, a staunch ally of Donald Trump, has taken aim at Marjorie Taylor Greene's decision to resign from Congress. Greene, a Georgia Republican, had been a key supporter of Trump but fell out with the President over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Trump responded by calling her a 'traitor' and withdrawing his endorsement. Loomer, who has a history of clashing with Greene, seized on the news of her resignation, suggesting that it was a deliberate attempt to harm Trump's presidency. 'She's deliberately trying to make it so that Republicans are down a vote to screw Trump over ahead of 2026,' Loomer claimed on X. Greene's resignation will trigger a special election to fill the Georgia seat. The exact date of the election will be set by the Georgia governor. Trump had previously hinted that he wanted Greene to be 'primaried' or defeated in the primaries. Loomer also suggested that Greene may be planning to cash in on her resignation by securing a deal with a liberal news outlet to criticize Trump. 'She wants the Democrats to win,' Loomer alleged. 'How much was she paid? That's what I want to know.'
