Liz Cheney, the eldest daughter of former US Vice President Dick Cheney, paid tribute to her father at his funeral service on November 9. In a poignant eulogy, she shared a personal moment she experienced just before her father's passing. Meanwhile, her husband Philip Perry also attended the funeral and was spotted by photographers. In a private life, Perry has kept a relatively low profile. However, it's known that Liz and Philip met at a Colorado College alumni mixer in Washington DC. They both attended the college, with Perry graduating in 1986 and Liz in 1988. After reuniting at a law school event, they got married in 1993 in Wyoming and have five children together. Philip Perry, a prominent lawyer, has had a distinguished career. He worked as general counsel for the Senate investigation into President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore in 1997. He also played a role in Dick Cheney's vice presidential debate against Senator Joe Lieberman. Perry served as a policy coordinator on George Bush's transition team and later worked as acting associate attorney general for the Justice Department. In addition to his law career, Perry has also worked as a lobbyist and has been involved in various high-profile cases. He was nominated by Bush for the post of general counsel for the Department of Homeland Security in 2005. Today, he is a partner at the international law firm Latham & Watkins. Perry's attendance at his father-in-law's funeral is a testament to their close relationship. As a devoted husband and father, Philip Perry has maintained a sense of loyalty and duty, echoing the values that defined the Cheney family.
