Minneapolis ICE Agent Faces Backlash as Fundraisers Emerge for Victim and Officer
Hours after Jonathan Ross was identified as the ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, a GoFundMe fundraiser was launched for the officer
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for Minneapolis ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who fatally shot Renee Nicole Good, just hours after the incident. The fundraiser, initiated by Clyde Emmons from Michigan, has collected $556 from over 15 donations. The funds will be used to cover Ross's legal services. In contrast, a separate GoFundMe for the victim has garnered over $1.5 million from more than 38,500 donations, with organizers announcing that the funds will be placed in a trust for the family. Rebecca, Renee's wife, expressed gratitude to the public for their support, stating, 'Renee was pure sunshine, pure love. She will be desperately missed.' The victim's GoFundMe was launched by Mattie Weiss of Minneapolis, while Ross's fundraiser was created in response to what the organizer described as 'media bs' surrounding the incident.
