A leading figure in the nursing profession, Sammie Mosier, has passed away in a devastating traffic accident. Mosier, the Chief Nursing Executive and Senior Vice President at HCA Healthcare in Nashville, Tennessee, was a dedicated advocate for nurse advocacy and leadership development.
According to the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), Mosier was a steadfast AONL member who inspired countless nurses with her vision, leadership, and dedication. Her legacy will be remembered through the leaders she mentored, the nurses she championed, and the systems she helped shape.
Mosier's illustrious career with HCA Healthcare spanned over two decades, starting as a medical-surgical nurse at Frankfort Regional Medical Centre in Kentucky in 1996. Her leadership journey led her to oversee more than 99,000 registered nurses across HCA Healthcare facilities, spearheading initiatives such as the Nursing Advocacy Agenda, Unit of Distinction Awards, and the HCA Inspire mobile app.
