A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his ex-wife and her husband in Ohio. Michael David McKee was taken into custody on Saturday and faces two counts of murder after allegedly shooting Monique and Spencer Tepe last month. The couple's two young children, aged 4 and 1, were left unharmed. However, investigators are still searching for a motive behind the brutal double homicide. According to authorities, the couple's bodies were found at their home after Spencer failed to show up for work, prompting a welfare check. A friend reported hearing the children crying inside the residence. Surveillance footage later revealed a person of interest, wearing a hood to conceal their face, walking near the home around the time of the killings. In a related incident, a neighbor reported a suspicious person knocking on their door in the middle of the night days before the murders. The community is mourning the loss of the devoted couple, who were remembered as loving and compassionate partners. Their family has vowed to see the case through to justice. A hearing is scheduled for Monday, and McKee will remain in custody until he is extradited back to Franklin County. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities awaiting toxicology and other test results to confirm the causes of death.
