Penn Station Stabbing: Suspect Described as Wearing All Black in Manhattan Attack
A stabbing near Penn Station, in Midtown Manhattan, on Friday left one person seriously injured
A violent stabbing near Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan left one person seriously injured on Friday. The 28-year-old victim, who was stabbed at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue around 4 PM, suffered deep wounds to both arms. Despite the severity of the injuries, the victim is in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.
According to authorities, the suspect was described as wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident. However, the motive behind the attack and whether the suspect and victim knew each other remains unclear.
This latest incident comes in the wake of a similar stabbing in April, where a 38-year-old Brooklyn resident was fatally stabbed on a subway train. The argument between the victim, John Sheldon, and another rider escalated into a violent confrontation. Witnesses reported that Sheldon used an anti-gay slur, leading the suspect to pull out a knife and stab him in the torso. Sheldon was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital.
The similarities between the two incidents raise concerns about public safety in New York City's subway system. As investigators continue to look into the Penn Station stabbing, they hope to uncover more information about the suspect and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
