Sydney Tragedy: Pregnant Indian-Origin Woman and Unborn Child Killed in BMW Crash, Teen Driver Charged

A devastating crash in Sydney's Hornsby suburb has claimed the lives of a pregnant woman and her unborn child. Samanvitha Dhareshwar, 33, who was just weeks away from giving birth to her second child, was walking with her husband and their 3-year-old son when the fatal collision occurred. According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, a BMW sedan driven by 19-year-old Aaron Papazoglu crashed into a Kia Carnival that had stopped to allow the family to cross the footpath. The impact was severe, and despite emergency services' best efforts, Dhareshwar and her unborn baby could not be saved. Police investigation revealed that Papazoglu was driving erratically and was later taken into custody after reviewing dashcam footage of the incident. He has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving (occasioning death), and causing loss of foetus - death of a pregnant woman. The 48-year-old driver of the Kia Carnival, who was unharmed, is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
