US President Donald Trump has signaled a willingness to revisit his proposal to end the war in Ukraine, stating that his initial 28-point plan was 'not final.' The plan, which includes territorial concessions and a pledge to never join NATO, has been met with skepticism by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. While Trump had initially set a deadline of November 27 for Ukraine to accept the deal, he now seems open to flexibility. 'We're trying to get it ended. One way or the other, we have to get it ended,' Trump said. The US President's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are scheduled to meet with European officials in Geneva on Sunday to discuss the proposal. Zelensky has expressed a willingness to consider 'alternatives,' while Putin has indicated that Moscow will continue its military campaign in Ukraine if Kyiv rejects the plan. The war, which began in February 2022, has resulted in significant human suffering and economic losses. Trump's revised stance on the deal has sparked hopes for a resolution to the conflict, but the path forward remains uncertain.
