Erika Kirk, the widow of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, expressed her admiration for US Ambassador Sergio Gor during his swearing-in ceremony in the presence of President Donald Trump. Kirk, who was in attendance, praised Gor's appointment, saying her husband would have been his first call upon learning of the position. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Gor has a diverse background, having also lived in Malta. Prior to his swearing-in, he visited India and met with key officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking in the Oval Office, Trump congratulated Gor on his appointment, stating that he trusts him to enhance the US-India relationship. Gor's journey to becoming US Ambassador began with his work on the Trump Victory Finance Committee in 2020. He later served as a senior adviser to MAGA Inc. and led the 'Right for America' political action committee, supporting Trump's agenda. With his diverse experience and background, Gor is poised to make a significant impact in his new role as US Ambassador to India.
