A chilling crime from 2017 has taken a new turn with the US government seeking the extradition of Nazeer Hameed, a suspect accused of stabbing to death an Indian mother and her six-year-old son in New Jersey's Burlington County. The motive behind the murders remains unclear, but investigators discovered a crucial DNA link on the suspect's laptop, which was handed over by his employer, Cognizant Technology Solutions. In March 2017, Hanu Narra found his wife Sasikala Narra and their six-year-old son Anish Narra brutally murdered in their Maple Shade apartment. The investigation led to Nazeer Hameed, who had a history of stalking Hanu Narra, a former work colleague. After returning to India six months after the murders, Hameed is believed to still be in the country. Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw urged the US and Indian governments to expedite Hameed's extradition. The Narra family's attorney, Donald Browne, praised the authorities for their tireless efforts in solving the case, saying, 'The family is very appreciative of all the authorities. That they didn't give up. That they kept fighting.' The victims, both from Andhra Pradesh, had been living in the US for 12 years before their tragic deaths.
