DLive, an American live video streaming service, has announced its permanent shutdown. The company, which has been hosting live broadcasts for 8 years, cited difficulties in expanding its user base and negative feedback from users as reasons for its closure.
The platform, which used BitTorrent file system and paid content creators using cryptocurrency, was unable to compete with established platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Kick.
DLive's association with extremist creators in January 2026 further damaged its reputation, leading to a decline in its already small user base.
The company has asked creators to withdraw remaining coins, cancel subscriptions, and download their content before the shutdown.
DLive thanked its supporters and audience for their memories and support over the years, but regretted to inform them that the platform would be ceasing operations.
