Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri wrapped up his US visit with talks to deepen nuclear ties and explore LPG exports. He met with US Energy Secretary Chris Wright to advance energy security and bilateral energy trade.
The discussions focused on strengthening the India-US Energy Partnership, with the US ready to cooperate on civil nuclear cooperation and other areas like coal gasification and LPG exports.
The US Ambassador to India, Sergei Gor, said the US is ready to cooperate with India on civil nuclear cooperation after India's passage of the SHANTI bill.
Misri's visit also included meetings with senior officials from the departments of defence, commerce, and state, as well as Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
India's Air Chief Marshal A P Singh was also on a visit to the US, visiting the Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs.
