Popular Kannada actor-producer Dileep Raj passed away on Wednesday morning after reportedly suffering a heart attack. He was 47 years old.
The actor's family confirmed his death to NDTV, stating that he was rushed to Apollo Hospital after suffering the heart attack but could not be revived.
Dileep Raj made his television debut with the telefilm Kambada Mane and went on to star in several shows, including Janani, Ardha Satya, and Rangoli.
He transitioned to films, debuting as a lead actor in the 2005 Kannada film Boy Friend and later worked with Puneeth Rajkumar in the 2007 film Milana.
Dileep's last outing was the 2026 release Love Mocktail 3, directed by Darling Krishna, and he was also seen in the critically acclaimed anthology crime drama Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu in 2025.
He is survived by his wife, Srividya, and their two daughters.
