Tamasha, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, has achieved cult status over the years. Director Imtiaz Ali recalled a memorable shot in the film that wasn't scripted.

During a recent chat, Imtiaz shared how a particular scene in Corsica, featuring Ranbir and Deepika's characters sitting in silence, was shot impromptu. The scene was not planned and happened during the shoot.

Imtiaz climbed up a mountain range to check if the shot was possible and called for Ranbir to join him. Ranbir initially refused to climb, but eventually came closer and sat in the spot. Deepika then joined him, and the scene was captured without any direction from Imtiaz.

Tamasha is a romantic drama that follows Ved's (Ranbir Kapoor) life story, which changes forever after he falls in love with Tara (Deepika Padukone) in Corsica. The film's music was scored by AR Rahman.

Imtiaz is gearing up for the release of his next directorial, Main Vaapas Aaunga, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari, set to release on June 12.
