Actor Saif Ali Khan has opened up about the failure of his 2012 film Agent Vinod, describing it as a 'cool film' that was 'ahead of its time.'
In a recent interview, Saif acknowledged that the film's failure was due to 'mistakes' made during production, including excessive interference from lead actors and too many ideas packed into the film.
He praised the film's core concept and ambition, but criticized the execution, saying that filmmaker Sriram Raghavan 'put too many toppings on the pizza.'
Agent Vinod was directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan, and follows a spy on a dangerous international mission.
Saif was last seen in Kartavya, where he received widespread praise for his performance as a cop, and will next be seen in Priyadarshan's Haiwaan.
