Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan shared a role with Tollywood legend Jagapathi Babu in the 2002 film Shakti, a remake of the 1998 Telugu film Anthahpuram. Jagapathi revealed that Shah Rukh gave him his 'biggest compliment' while recreating the role, which he described as 'something really bad' but ultimately a huge compliment.
Jagapathi shared the story on Honest Townhall, saying that Shah Rukh was 'very frustrated' with him during filming and made a comment that he couldn't repeat. However, when Jagapathi asked Shah Rukh years later if it was true, he confirmed that he had made the comment, but apologized for it.
The two actors shared the role of a petty thief who sacrifices his life to save a woman and her child in the original film. Jagapathi has since gone on to star in several films, including Ghaati, Mirai, and Peddi, while Shah Rukh has appeared in films like Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki.
