Actors Trisha Krishnan and Suriya reunited for RJ Balaji's upcoming film Karuppu, but Trisha has been throwing shade at the film's team for sidelining her. Executive producer Aditi Ravindranath, who worked with Suriya on Netflix's Navarasa, seems to agree with her.

Trisha joked that she forgot she even starred in the film after not being included in most of the promotional material. Fans have shown their support for Trisha, with one X user writing, 'all this misogyny thrown at her.' The user pointed out that men are never sidelined from their own projects and that it's a disgrace when even a senior actor like Trisha isn't treated with due respect.

Trisha shared a post showing Suriya attending various events, including Ponniyin Selvan and Leo, and wrote, 'Trisha has never shied from promoting her films.' The post was in response to criticism from Suriya's fans, who questioned if Trisha really wasn't included in the film's promotional material.

Trisha and Suriya previously starred together in Mounam Pesiyadhe, Aayutha Ezhuthu, and Aaru. Karuppu will be released in theatres on May 14.
