At 74, filmmaker David Dhawan is making a comeback with Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. His son Varun shared the reason behind the veteran's return to the director's chair.
Speaking at the trailer launch, Varun said, 'We're questioning cinema' and that's why his father is making a film at this age. David Dhawan is known for his comedies like Raja Babu and Coolie No. 1, and with this film, he's reuniting with Varun for the fourth time.
David got emotional while praising Varun as a caring son, saying, 'He has been a great son first... He has always looked after me, my health, anything.' The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, and is scheduled to hit theatres on June 5.
